The Christmas Box Hope Tree
Dedicated at the Salt Lake Christmas Box House on July 16, 2021 – The Christmas Box Hope Tree was created and donated to The Christmas Box International. The monument is comprised of 125 individual metal blocks stacked 8’6″ high to form a Christmas tree. Each block represents 1,000 children who have been protected and served by The Christmas Box International over the last 25 years.
The monument was designed “To recognize the children in need, commemorate the accomplishments of The Christmas Box International and give thanks to all those affiliated with The Christmas Box International and their mission—which includes Salt Lake County Youth Services and Utah’s Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS), for their tireless dedication in defending children.”
Every year more than 40,000 Utah children are reported abused. The Christmas Box House was created to help abused, neglected, and trafficked children who have been removed from their homes.
