Project Elf - Salt Lake Area

Thanks to the generous community support we received during the 2018 holiday season, we were able to serve over 2,600 children and youth in need!  This year, we need YOUR help!

Each holiday season, The Christmas Box International helps to stock Santa's sleigh for abused and neglected children, teens and young adults in our community.  Project Elf offers fun and meaningful opportunities for businesses, individuals, families, neighborhoods, schools, scouts and church groups to brighten the holidays for those in need.

How Can YOU Help with Project Elf?

Monetary donations are always greatly appreciated!

Your tax deductible contributions serve our most vulnerable populations, not only during the month of December, but during all seasons of the year. Donate today.

MOST URGENT NEED… Provide $25 gift cards to serve children and teens for Christmas morning who are receiving In-Home Services through Utah State Division of Child & Family Services (DCFS):

This project aims to strengthen families and empower the parents to provide a positive holiday experience for their own children. With the gift cards, parents will be able to have a normal/traditional holiday shopping and giving experience by selecting and purchasing their children’s gifts, in lieu of donors purchasing the gifts for them.

Specific $25 gift cards need to be delivered to the Salt Lake Christmas Box House by Tuesday, November 12. (This will enable parents to be able to shop over Thanksgiving weekend.) To coordinate donation of specific gift cards needed, please contact Sherri at sherri@thechristmasbox.org.

Donate gift cards, NEW clothing, toy and supplies for ongoing needs:

Donations will serve children and teens through The Salt Lake Christmas Box House and Shelter Group Home throughout the upcoming year. Items range in price from $10 - $50. Check out the wish list to see how you can help! Please deliver UNWRAPPED items to The Salt Lake Christmas Box House by Tuesday, December 16th.

Donate Christmas morning gifts for children and teens at The Salt Lake Christmas Box House & Shelter Group Home:

Gifts range from $20 - $50. Gifts for specific children will be selected by staff from incoming donations as children come into the shelters throughout December. Teens will be able to “shop” for their own gifts from incoming donations. The Holiday Gift Wish List will be available online October 1st. Please deliver UNWRAPPED gifts to The Salt Lake Christmas Box House by Monday, December 9th.

Serve young adults transitioning from foster care/homelessness - Salt Lake County Youth Services Milestone Houses

Needed donations ($20 - $50) include specific gifts for Christmas morning, new clothing, household items, move-out kit necessities and food. Please contact Mina at mkoplin@slco.org for more information.
